Doing it yourself

Here are some basic simple tips:

  • Always use tongs or spatulas to move your food.  (When food is pierced, juices are lost resulting in
    dried out food.)
  • Get your grill HOT and bring your food to room temperature before grilling.
  • Oil your food (not your grill.)  This will achieve the perfect grill marks. But remember your grill MUST
    be HOT!
  • Do not move your food to fast. Wait for your food
    to sear.
  • Turn your food ONCE.  (Turn your food once halfway through your estimated cooking time.)
  • Grill with your grill cover closed.  (By closing the grill cover, the amount of oxygen is reduced, eliminating flare ups.)
  • Let your food rest after removing it from the grill.
